KAUST’s mission, to advance science and technology for the benefit of Saudi Arabia and the world, is carried out not only in our laboratories and classrooms, but in the quality of the services that stand behind them. When university administration and teaching and research support work well, our people can focus on doing their best work. When these services fall short, we need to know so we can drive transformation and improvement across the University.
Today, we launch the KAUST Services Effectiveness Survey. Earlier this summer, colleagues across the University recorded where administrative effort is spent. This survey completes the picture: It asks those who use our services to rate how much each service matters to their work and how well it performs today. Results will be benchmarked against leading research universities worldwide and will directly inform where we invest, simplify, and improve.
KAUST employees will shortly receive a separate email from our independent benchmarking partner (Nous Data Insights) containing their personal survey link.
- Set aside about 30 minutes before the survey closes on Thursday, September 3, 2026. You will only be asked about services you use.
- Be candid. Responses are held by our independent partner and reported only in aggregate. Honest assessment, favorable or not, is the most valuable contribution you can make.
- If you lead a team, encourage your staff who have been invited to complete it thoughtfully.
The results will come directly to KAUST leadership and will shape where we set present and future priorities. Thank you for lending your time and your judgment to this.
