Let’s ride our bikes together for a sustainable future during the sixth KAUST Bike Week. From December 4 to 9, 2022, keeping in mind the impacts of climate change, why not try to leave your car at home and bike for a greener tomorrow?
Road transportation, such as cars, motorcycles and buses, accounts for 11.9% of global greenhouse gas emissions (Source: ourworldindata.org).
Biking is a green, fun and healthy mode of transportation. So, pump some air into those tires and get ready for a week full of activities that we hope will inspire you to cycle more within KAUST year-round.
Highlights of the week
- The yearly Bike Race and Family Bike Ride will be on Friday, December 9.
- Join the daily yoga classes for bikers from December 5 – 8 at IRC.
- Go on the scavenger hunt by bike and win a special dinner at Al Marsa.

It’d have been nice if you arrange for bike rentals. I don’t have a bike, but I’d like to try using it, yet not sure about buying a bike yet.
Or, maybe arrange with the e-bikes company to do a special during this week. this would be great.

Do we need to register for Friday family bike day?
Registration is not required for the Family Bike Ride. But to participate in the Road race, you need to register.
