Dear Community Members,
Sometimes the simplest thing can go a long way in protecting both you and the organization. Locking your workstation will prevent others from accessing your personal and work related files/emails while you are away from your desk. An unattended and unlocked workstation could allow an untrustworthy individual to have access to the computer and gives them the ability to:
- View, read, edit or delete information on your computer.
- Gain access to KAUST resources using your credentials.
- Send or forward emails on your behalf.
- Install harmful software on your workstation.
Please make locking your computer a habit whenever you leave your desk.
