IPTV Service Updates

Dear community members,

In support of the effort to assist the community, and especially with the closure of the cinema and the cancellation of social events, we are making a few adjustments to the IPTV service.

Channels:

  • Starting now, 40 premium channels are part of the Free to Air package.
  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, you will find an additional 16 premium channels added to the Free to Air package.
  • Starting Wednesday, March 18, all Video on Demand content will be provided free of charge.

Set-up boxes:

  • The Set-up boxes are now at a discounted price of 300 SAR (VAT inclusive).
  • If you purchased a Set-up box after March 13, you are eligible to a refund based on the difference between the price you paid and the new discounted price of 300SAR.
  • Stocks are currently limited.

To enable the free channels on your box:

  • Navigate to MY SEEVII menu on the Home Page
  • Select the “Refresh” option.

Once the refresh finishes, the device will reload the content. You will find the Premium Channels within the Free to Air channel list.

Thank you. It is really nice of KAUST to offer expanded entertainment options in a time when so many activities are curtailed.

Would it be possible to publish a list that contains the channels that are normally available on the Free to Air channels and those which have been added as part of this special deal?

This would help people who don’t have a set top box decide if they wish to purchase it.

I replaced the device for three time however service is still not good. System is very slow. When I start the device, system is hanging and I have to restart again to make it work
This is the worst service I have ever seen

Hello Faisal,
That is unfortunate. Have you tried to contact the IPTV team? can you please send me an email to hisham.barazi@kaust.edu.sa so we can understand what happened?

I don’t think you can do anything to resolve this issue. The only solution is to replace the service with better one

@Faisal, we need more details on what your problem is before we can reach that assessment.

You are still within your right to approach us through the proper channels by opening a ticket with the IT Service Desk or contacting the IPTV team. if you have already opened a ticket please email me the ticket number if the issue has not been resolved and we will gladly look into it.

I opened a ticket last week and service is back to normal with small issues in some channels. Unfortunately, service is again back to the same issue with most of the channels. Then, I sent an email to reopen the ticket however nobody response to my email and still the service is too bad.
I believe that service with so many issues and not stable means it must be replaced with better service
