Tidal Wave is a much-loved tradition that brings our community together to celebrate TKS Athletics with games, activities, performances, food, and plenty of community spirit. Tidal Wave is open to the entire KAUST community, and all activities take place on the TKS Gardens Campus.
Event highlights
5:00–7:00 PM | Games, activities & marketplace
Come early and enjoy activities for all ages across the TKS Field and Covered Courts, including:
- Water games
- Golf activities
- Volleyball activities
- Tropical Slide and Inflatable Maze
- Stage performances
- Marketplace shopping
- Food and refreshments
- Kiddy Corner with fun, age-appropriate activities for our youngest Sharks
- And more!
7:00–9:00 PM | Varsity volleyball games
Head to the Reef Fieldhouse gym and pack the stands as we cheer on our teams:
- Varsity Girls’ Volleyball Team vs Community Team
- Varsity Boys’ Volleyball Team vs Community Team
The teams will play back-to-back games. Look out for Sami the Shark and prize giveaways!
Tickets and wristbands
**Entry is free.** Tickets and wristbands are required for some activities and food purchases.
Wristbands — 25 SAR each
- Wristbands provide unlimited turns on the Tropical Slide and Inflatable Maze.
Food tickets — 50 SAR or 100 SAR
- Food tickets may be purchased in 50 SAR or 100 SAR increments.
- Food tickets can be used for all food sold by the Parent Connection, including Walking Tacos and Grilled Jumbo Hot Dogs.
Please note:
- Credit card only — tickets and wristbands cannot be purchased with cash.
- We recommend purchasing tickets and wristbands in advance to avoid lines at the event.
Where & when can I buy tickets?
Advance sales begin Sunday, October 4 during school hours at:
- TKS Shark Shop — Gardens Campus Flag Pavilion
- Lower Elementary East Reception Desk — Harbor Campus
You can also purchase tickets and wristbands at the Tidal Wave event at the Covered Courts beginning at 5:00 PM on October 8.
