Is the date September 23rd correct? I thought it was Saudi National day.

Dear Mr. Gomes:
September 23rd is indeed Saudi National Day however KMC will be operating regular hours while the rest of the university is off . It will only be a starting day for the flu vaccine campaign and people who are available on campus can come and get vaccinated on a walk-in basis together with their children or anyone who needs the vaccine .
Those who will not be on campus that day, can call KMC any day following the 23rd and come and get the vaccine either by appointment or through dedicated walk-in slots that will be made available DAILY .
Hope this answers your question but please do not hesitate to ask ifyou have any further queries.

Hello, I know that depending on where you live (North America, Europe etc.) there is a special flu vaccine. So does it mean the vaccine you offer is only protecting us in the Middle East or is it also protecting us for the other areas? Thanks.

Dear Jana:
The vaccine that is present is imported and confers comparable protection against influenza wherever you are how ever it is not 100 % effective in any country. This is regardless of where you got the vaccine so even in the US or Europe, the vaccine has variable efficacy due to the nature of the influenza virus and its ability to change from season to season. How protective it is depends on the degree of match between the vaccine and the virus strains that were isolated in a particular season.
Thanks.

Hi Denise:
The nasal spray flu vaccine is not available. The one used here is the inactivated vaccine in injection form.
Thanks,
