The Center for Desert Agriculture (CDA) will celebrate the Fascination of Plants Day with a number of events, which will showcase the work of the various research groups within the CDA. Come and join our scientists, staff and students as they explain their research, and give tours on the fascinating wonders of plants and their potential applications.
Fascination of Plants Day (May 18) is a day of worldwide action to make people aware of plants as the basis of all life on this planet, from botany to gardening, food and nutrition to its uses in medicine. This year Saudi Arabia will join the celebration as the first ever participant from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

What are the opening hours of the greenhouse? Is the event open to children?
Thank you for your comment Johanna. Yes, this event will be open to children. This was put up as a “save the date” announcement as the organizers are still finalizing event times and details. Complete information, activities for kids and registration information will be available soon.
