Eid Al-Fitr Prayer and Zakat Al-Fitr at KAUST

As Eid Al-Fitr approaches, Campus and Community (C&C) extends warm wishes to everyone celebrating across the KAUST community. Eid is a special time to come together in prayer, reflection, and generosity.

Here is everything you need to know about Eid Al-Fitr prayer at KAUST and how to fulfill your Zakat Al-Fitr before the celebration begins.

Eid Al-Fitr prayer

The Eid Al-Fitr prayer will be held at King Abdullah Mosque, and separate prayer areas will be available for male and female members. Saudi coffee and sweets will be distributed to share in the joy of Eid.

  • Date: Friday, March 20
  • Time: 6:50 a.m.
  • Location: King Abdullah Mosque

Please note:

  •  The official date of Eid Al-Fitr depends on the moon sighting, so the prayer schedule may be adjusted accordingly.

Jumuah prayer will be also held as usual at the King Abdullah Mosque

Community members are encouraged to arrive early to allow time for parking and entry.

Zakat Al-Fitr

In the spirit of giving during Ramadan and Eid, KAUST has partnered with Al-Bir Charitable Society in Thuwal to make it easier for community members to fulfill their Zakat Al-Fitr.

Donation machines have been installed at two convenient locations:

  • Tamimi Supermarket entrance
  • KAUST Health entrance

These machines provide a quick and reliable way to contribute to verified charitable causes and complete your Zakat Al-Fitr before the Eid prayer.

C&C wishes you and your families a peaceful and joyful Eid Al-Fitr.

Eid Mubarak!
