Dear KAUST community,
In the past years, during the holy month of Ramadan, the KAUST community has given Zakat Al-Fitr and other charitable donations to those less fortunate than ourselves in the town of Thuwal.
This year, as it is a little difficult to make direct contact with those we would like to assist, Government Affairs offers alternatives to give Zakat Al-Fitr and charity.
- Donate Zakat Al-Fitr to the “Thuwal Charitable Society” through their bank account: AlRajhi Bank (IBAN # SA8780000411608010038563). The deadline for online donations is Monday, May 18, 2020.
- Donate in person at the Harbor Recreation Center on May 16-17, which coincides with Ramadan 23-24, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. or from 10:00 p.m. to midnight .
Community members are requested to follow strict social distancing directives, wear a face covering and, if possible, wear gloves and bring hand sanitizer. For everyone’s safety, and to minimize the number of people present for in-person donations, please keep your children at home. Thank you for your understanding.
