The Analytical Core Lab is offering a basic training course on the use and application of X-ray Fluorescence spectroscopy (XRF). The goal of this training is to provide the attendees with basic principles of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy. Participants will be introduced to the background and practice of XRF analysis as well as practical considerations and applications.

- Hardware and software features
- Introduction to XGT software
- Sample preparation for solids, powder, and liquid
- How to correctly mount samples in sampler holder
- Focusing your sample using motorized XYZ stage
- Mounting and dismounting vacuum chamber
- Qualitative analysis using auto ID
- Quantitative analysis using fundamental parameter analysis
- How to safely replenish liquid Nitrogen
