Traffic and Vehicle Policy

Amends bus safety requirements: When a bus has stopped to load or unload passengers and has

its stop sign out, all vehicles approaching the bus must come to a complete stop and may only proceed past the bus at walking pace (max 5kph). Vehicles must give way to pedestrians crossing the road to or from the bus. Particular care must be taken to look out for young crossing the road to or from the bus. Particular care must be taken to look out for young children running out from behind the bus into the road or running across the road to catch the bus.
