As part of our ongoing efforts to improve convenience and streamline processes for the KAUST community, we are introducing updates to our mail and courier delivery services. These changes are designed to make package handling smoother, more accessible, and more secure for everyone.
Key updates
Centralized delivery location
- Gate 3 Delivery Station is now the single-entry point for all external deliveries (couriers and online retailers).
- Visitor parking is available outside the gate.
- Gate will be open: 5:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m., daily
- UPS Operating hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., daily

Discovery Square Mail Center
- Continues to handle customer pickups, mailboxes, and outbound shipments only.
- Operating hours: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. daily
Shipments requiring an OTP
For security, some packages require a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification. To ensure a smooth delivery process, please note:
- All such shipments now arrive at Gate 3.
- You must collect OTP-required packages directly at Gate 3.
- UPS cannot deliver OTP shipments to your doorstep.
- To collect, present your KAUST ID and sign the handheld device.
- For doorstep deliveries arranged via email, couriers provide photo proof of delivery (POD).
⚠️ Important: If you authorize UPS (or another service provider) to collect an OTP shipment on your behalf, you waive claims for loss or damage against that provider.
