Update on SAMBA ATM issue

The KAUST finance division recently alerted the community that certain foreign bank card holders were experiencing difficulty in accessing cash through SAMBA ATM’s. SAMBA management have stated that this problem will be solved by November 2015, at the earliest, and not by the end of August as previously estimated.

The KAUST finance division will keep the community updated as more information becomes available.

Dear Claire, KAUST Finance division is currently in touch with other banks to determine their interest in placing ATMs within KAUST. As soon as we have more information we will share it through the Lens.

Thank you Morne – fingers crossed for an alternative cash machine!

It is not consistent with KAUST’s prestigious image as a premier educational institution that international students, faculty and staff cannot obtain cash from their home accounts. In this respect, KAUST is not being well served by SAMBA. KAUST should look for a better provider.
