Ukulele adult beginners' workshop

Sara Spade the “Ukulele Lady” has a great approach to teaching the ukulele at all levels, to all kinds of groups and claims; “For anyone who has never played the Ukulele before I can have you playing and singing your first song within 20 minutes.”

Her workshops are about being inspired while facilitating students to become real musicians. The course will include: teaching ukulele chords, how to accumulate a spectrum of techniques, gaining an understanding of music and a Ukulele will be provided for each participant to play during the course.  In addition you will experience:

  • peer support
  • camaraderie
  • fun and laughter
  • working on group pieces as a ukulele “orchestra”
  • participate in a ukulele concert on February 19, in the Auditorium.

Participants are required to attend on both days as this is a beginner’s course completed over two sessions on:

Wednesday, February 15 from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, February 16 from 5:30 – 7:30p.m.

Building 20, Large Rehearsal Function Room
