It seems to me that the Lens is good if you want to see retrospective events but usless for future events. Where is Falvours / Parade of Nations ? Any events occuring post Feb 14? The date today is 03 March 14 and there are no events advertised except for the cinema listings. Come to think of it, I understand some other films (world Cinema) are also being shown but again, nothing in the lens!

Dear Tushar,
Promoted events over the past two weeks (and after Feb 14) include posts announcing Thursday Night Live, TKS Partners for Learning, Office of the Arts lecture, Heart Health Day, Quiz Night, Desert Night, Al-Janadriya trip, Fish Auction, Bike Day, etc. There are many posts that announce future events as well as some posts after an event has happened.
Please look for forthcoming information about the Parade of Nations and Flavors as that should be posted shortly.

I think Tushar has a point. I wish the future events are announced at least 1 week earlier on the Lens (When I checked the Lens generally, only a few of them are announced 1 week earlier). The announcement date and event date are generally very close, which is not helping while scheduling our calendar.

Plus you might consider putting a calendar so that people can track the events much clearly (Maybe there is a calendar in some other websites that I am not aware of)

Dear Ozden,
We actually prefer posts on The Lens to be made 2 weeks before an event.

However, since The Lens team members are not the actual organizers of the event, we are not always aware of an upcoming event or its details. We rely on the organizers to share information about their event with The Lens, so we can help support their efforts. If you have an upcoming event or know of a department/unit that does, please invite them to share the news with us sooner than later.

Requests for a Lens post are welcome at:
