Monthly Socials
The next family social session will take place on Saturday, February 25 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. No registration is needed and we hope to see you there.
The Parent Committee at the FCSC have planned two activities for children and young people to try at each monthly social. In February, we have a ceramics session by Jessica Menzies and a dance session with Toluwalogo Daramola. Children will be able to take part in both sessions if they wish.
Jess is a PhD student at KAUST, studying corals in the Red Sea Research Centre. While not under the sea or in the lab, you can find her exploring wild places in Saudi Arabia, practicing watersports at the beach or in the ceramic’s studio. Jess particularly enjoys sculpting figures of both humans and animals, and experimenting with different textures and glazes, and would like you to join our class on the 25th Feb to make your own reptile buddy!
Meet Toluwalogo Daramola, an international educator with a passion for dance and music. As a seasoned professional, she uses her expertise to facilitate community engagement and bring people together through the power of movement and sound. Whether you catch her at TKS events, community gatherings, or behind the DJ booth, Toluwalogo always brings her signature energy and enthusiasm to every occasion. Over her duration at KAUST she joined the community Movement Group to teach Line Dancing, African Dance, and TikTok to bring people together in new and innovative ways. Now, she is more excited than ever to support families in the KAUST community and continue spreading joy and positivity through the power of line dance and music.
