Tamimi Supermarket Imported Goods Update

Recently, Tamimi Supermarket has encountered supply delays in regards to pet food and other imported goods. As part of the services to ensure the demands of our community are met, Support Services is dedicated to monitor the provision of essential services and provides this update:

Pet Food
The pet food shortage has been investigated by Support Services and it has been found that this issue is not exclusive to Tamimi, but extends to the region. It is partly due to the main distributor in KSA encountering challenging customs/importation restrictions. While cat food has returned to Tamimi shelves as of Monday, May 20, dog food supply is still a concern. Support Services is currently working on sourcing vet recognized and approved dog food recipes that may be able to bridge the gap until the supply issue is resolved.

Imported Goods
In regards to imported food items, as a service to the KAUST community Tamimi goes to great lengths to source a diverse range of products. These imported products usually have a long delivery and a short expiry time and often sell out very quickly – which affects restocking frequency. If you find that there is a desired good not available within the store, Tamimi operates a logbook at the Customer Service Desk where community members can request needed products and long term brand preferences. Sometimes these products can be sourced in Jeddah.
