Dawn and Rabab will teach you how to prepare fabric to make a table runner or wall hanging with precise measuring and cutting, traditional piecing, fusing and machine appliquéing, attaching a sashing, adding batting and a backing, quilting and binding. Participants will have the opportunity to creatively decide on the appliqué design or use one of the templates provided at the workshop. Different fabric color kits will be provided.
When? Saturday October 6 and October 13 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A one-hour break at lunchtime is foreseen.
Where? The Stitching Club in the Clubhouse/EEC 3, Oasis Lane, Gardens
Cost? SAR 550 (includes tuition and material) payable at the Stitching Club on Monday October 1 between 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. or at the Island Recreation Center reception by October 1.

Workshop prerequisite: Workshop level: Beginner. However, good knowledge of how to use a sewing machine is essential. Should a participant be unfamiliar with how to use a sewing machine, they would be required to attend a sewing machine session with Rabab prior to the workshop on Monday October 1 at the club or by special arrangement. The session will be at an additional SR 30 for non-club members.
