University Development, in partnership with the Saudi Economic and Development Company (SEDCO), announces that a SEDCO Research Excellence Award Workshop will be held today and tomorrow (February 19 – 20) in the Engineering Science Hall (building 9).
The workshop will present research findings into salt-tolerant extremophile microorganisms found in deep-sea brine pools unique to the Red Sea. Uli Stingl, Assistant Professor of Marine Science at the Red Sea Research Center, and four KAUST co-investigators received a generous grant from SEDCO for their research in September 2011.
All KAUST faculty, postdocs, researchers, and students are invited to attend Day 1 of the workshop and the Keynote Lectures TODAY, February 19:
