Under the umbrella of the BESE division, this novel initiative aims to introduce to the community a variety of contemporary topics found at the intersection of Science and other disciplines such as Philosophy, History, Arts, Anthropology, etc. Through seminars, colloquia and other activities, SCI wishes to encourage thinking beyond the personal areas of expertise and to nourish the curiosity about how science ventures work and what these mean in our society.
In this session, Prof. Carlos Duarte will be talking about the relation of the red ochre and seashells with artistic and symbolic expression, and their significance for human evolution.
