As reported in today’s Arab News, Prince Sultan bin Salman, president of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, opened an exhibit at the Smithsonian Institution’s Arthur M. Sackler Gallery in Washington, DC.
This exhibit features hundreds of recently discovered archaeological treasures that date from prehistoric times to the birth of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1932.
Whether you are well-versed in the history of Saudi Arabia or are a newcomer to this region, the highlights of the artifacts as well as the wealth of information about the rich history of the Arabian Peninsula shouldn’t be missed on their website: www.roadsofarabia.com.
Or be sure to plan a visit if you find yourself in Washington before the end of February 2013!

This exhibit is absolutely fantastic! But if you do not have a chance to go to Washington DC within the next 3 months, please note that you will find the ‘Roads of Arabia’ book at the Campus Library. It contents photographs of amazing artifacts and fascinating scientific contributions that make this book the best on the subject so far.
