For many KAUST residents, pets are enriching members of the family and we are eager to support a nurturing environment for that relationship. We also want to ensure that creating this environment for pets and pet owners is not at the expense of our non-pet owning neighbors.
All pet owners are required to adhere to certain requirements. These requirements include:
• Picking up and disposing of pet waste. Failure to dispose of pet waste creates an unclean and unhealthy environment for everyone, particularly small children.
• Keeping pets under control when outside. Pets that are not under their owner’s control can be threatening to others, particularly small children, and can run off.
• Keeping pet noise levels to a minimum. Excessive dog barking or howling can be a nuisance to the neighborhood.
We recognize that the majority of pet owners here at KAUST act responsibly with their pets, and would like to thank them for being good neighbors and community members.
If you have any questions or concerns about the above requirements, please email kaustkennels@kaust.edu.sa
