Join us for a Community Clean-up!
As part of KAUST’s Sustainability and Green initiatives, we invite all KAUST community members to take part in the first Community Clean-up of 2020. Help spread awareness about the ever-increasing presence of plastics in our environment. This Clean-up marks the first of our Quarterly Clean-up program – participate in all four Clean-ups and we will mark the achievement!
Event Details
Meet in the parking lot in front of the recycling center at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, where you sign in, collect your clean-up materials and hop on the bus at 9:00 a.m. to head to the area outside Gate 3.
All participants will be provided with the materials they’ll need to remove large and small debris, including gloves, bags and micro-plastic sifters.
Please bring sun protection, a reusable water bottle, and your KAUST ID.
Please note that children should be 5 years and older to participate.
After the Event
After the Clean-up, participants will be invited to a celebration at the Recycling Center with games and refreshments, as well as information about what happens in the next waste management process.

This is a good initiative. Thank you! A piece of advice though, I would recommend using reusable bags for waste collection to avoid contributing further to the plastic with plastic bags and gloves. See you there!

Hi This is my first week in the campus. Can you please guide me how to reach the recycling centre from Oasis apartments using shuttle service.Thanks in advance.
