Pet Registration Waiver Period – a few more days!

The medical check and micro-chipping part of the registration for cats and dogs will continue to be free until October 31, 2018. The annual registration fee of SAR 150 will also be waived during this period.  The vet is open all day on Saturdays and has openings for this weekend!

As a courtesy reminder for pet owners who have not yet registered their pets:

  • Failure to register a pet within the stipulated timeframe, will result in a fine of SAR 250, and you will be required to register the pet within a maximum of 5 (five) days from the receipt of notice of the fine.
  • Your pet will be unable to be seen by the vet if they are unregistered.
  • Unregistered animals are treated as stray animals if caught roaming without their owner or caught in a trap.

Starting November 15, 2018 all pet owners must show the Pet ID Card for their animal:

  • At the veterinarian clinic in order for your pet to receive patient medical services.
  • At the security checkpoint while entering KAUST with your pet in the vehicle.
  • If security stops you in the community and asks you to show the Pet ID card for your pet (particularly in response to a reported incident with your pet).
