As a courtesy reminder for pet owners who have not yet registered their pets:
- Failure to register a pet within the stipulated timeframe, will result in a fine of SAR 250, and you will be required to register the pet within a maximum of 5 (five) days from the receipt of notice of the fine.
- Your pet will be unable to be seen by the vet if they are unregistered.
- Unregistered animals are treated as stray animals if caught roaming without their owner or caught in a trap.
Starting November 15, 2018 all pet owners must show the Pet ID Card for their animal:
- At the veterinarian clinic in order for your pet to receive patient medical services.
- At the security checkpoint while entering KAUST with your pet in the vehicle.
- If security stops you in the community and asks you to show the Pet ID card for your pet (particularly in response to a reported incident with your pet).
