Online Travel System (GetThere) – Soft Launch (First Phase)

Community Life is pleased to announce the soft launch of the Sabre GetThere online travel booking system. Sabre GT is a leading online booking system that is being used by a majority of corporate travelers. This system is similar to the well-known internet booking websites. KAUST HR Travel policy is fully implemented in the system with the following features:

• Online Flight, Hotel and Car Booking
• Online Approval
• Accessible from anywhere through an Internet connection
• Mobile Experience

Sabre GT is a self-service online travel booking tool, enabling travelers to search, and book flights, hotels, and car rentals. The new system will also provide the travelers access to all fare options including KAUST negotiated fares with airline partners. Sabre GT is an easy-to-use booking tool which will help minimize the communications between travelers and the travel agent.

The launch and implementation of the new system will be implemented in two phases;

• (Soft launch) will be available to faculty, staff and post-docs (Effective 3rd of February, 2019)
• (Next phase) will be for students and KAUST visitors

The current SAP Travel request system will remain as an option for users who wish to continue using it.

The Sabre GetThere system is accessible either through SAP Portal or through https://getthere.kaust.edu.sa
