NEW Watercolour Painting Workshop Sign Up

Teacher: Jonathan Wagstaff is a KAUST Electrical Engineering student with experience as an artist and volunteer art teacher, specialising in watercolour painting. His previous projects include painting workshops, a stage set, and a community library mural. He loves involving absolute beginners and more experienced artists. He is a firm believer that anyone can learn to paint.

Schedule: Mondays from 6:30 – 8:30 pm ( 6 Week)

  • 9 March Week 1: color mixing
  • 16 March Week 2: color washes
  • 23 March No Class (Spring Break)
  • 30 March Week 3: perspective and masking
  • 6 April Week 4: light and shadows
  • 13 April Week 5: elements of composition and design
  • 20 April Week 6: doing your own creative painting

Location: Art studio in the Island Recreation Club (IRC).
Cost: The cost for each class is 50 SAR, plus approximately 150 SAR for all materials, so you will pay up to 450 SAR on the first day for the 6 week Workshop. (If you know you cannot attend all 6 classes, then you will pay for what you know you can attend on the first class, but after that there is no reimbursement for missed classes).

Materials: All materials, including paper, watercolour paints, a mixing palette and brushes can be bought from the Art Club on the first day. (If you already have your own materials please bring them.)
