As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance user experience, KAUST Smart is excited to announce the redesigned login processes for the KAUSTCentral ecosystem, set to roll out in the coming days. These updates introduce improvements to both authentication methods available on the platform.
Key updates:
- KAUST Login for Portal Users: We are adopting the KAUST Portal’s login model, now using DUO for One-Time Password (OTP) authentication. This change, in line with Information Security recommendations, aims to stabilize the login experience and reduce frequent logout issues.
- KAUSTCentral Account for Community Members and Visitors: We have streamlined the account creation process for better usability and added the option to receive OTPs via mobile SMS, offering users more flexibility in choosing their two-factor authentication (2FA) method.
These enhancements are designed to make sign-in faster and more efficient.
