Materials Studio Training – April 22 and 23

IT Research Computing in partnership with Accelrys® is pleased to announce an online training for Materials Studio.

All trainings will be held in the Engineering and Science Hall (bldg. 9)
Level 2, Computer Lab 2221

Forcite
Tuesday, April 22
2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

CASTEP
Wednesday, April 23
2:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Accelrys® instructors Dr. Marc Meunier and Dr. Manisha Vekaria will lead the training sessions.

Forcite is an advanced classical molecular mechanics tool, that allows fast energy calculations and reliable geometry optimization of molecules and periodic systems.

CASTEP is an ab initio quantum mechanical program employing density functional theory (DFT) to simulate the properties of solids, interfaces, and surfaces for a wide range of materials classes such as ceramics, semiconductors, and metals.
