Innovation and Economic Development is delighted to invite you to attend a talk entitled “Lockheed Martin Technologies Overview”, by Dr. Dana (Keoki) Jackson. Lockheed Martin is a Strategic Partner of the KAUST Industry Collaboration Program (KICP).
As the world’s premier aerospace and defense company, Lockheed Martin engineers transformative technologies that will advance global security and help solve the greatest challenges of tomorrow.
With a wide-ranging research and development (R&D) portfolio, the company is partnering with universities, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and research labs across the world to bring disruptive technologies to bear sooner. Dr. Keoki Jackson, Lockheed Martin’s Chief Technology Officer, will outline the company’s operations and identify technology focus areas, like:
- Autonomy and Robotics
- Transformative Computing and Cybersecurity
- Signal Processing and Communications
- Sensor Technology
Dr. Jackson will share how these thrusts advance Lockheed Martin’s technology strategy, and will also address how the company fosters a resilient innovation culture that encourages open collaboration across the broader external science and technology community.
Participants will hear Dr. Jackson’s perspective on how customer partnering, open innovation approaches, and collaborative R&D can lead to dramatic future aerospace and defense capabilities.
Dr. Keoki Jackson
Previously, Dr. Jackson served as the vice president for Program Excellence, where he was responsible for the cross-functional integration of five corporate councils for engineering and technology, production, program management, supply chain and sustainment.
Before joining Lockheed Martin, Dr. Jackson was a NASA research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the field of human adaptation to the space environment. He received bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and completed the Stanford Executive Program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
Dr. Jackson is a member of Sigma Xi, a fellow of the United Kingdom Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), an associate fellow of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), and a corresponding member of the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA). He previously served on the Sandia Corporation Board of Directors, and is a current member of the AIAA Foundation Board of Trustees, the Georgia Institute of Technology Advisory Board, the Board of Visitors for the University of Maryland Clark School of Engineering, and the Visiting Committee for the MIT Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
