Land Use Permit Automated System – Now Live

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Land Use Permit Automated System in partnership with KAUST IT. The System allows users to raise Land User Permit Requests online through the SAP Portal.

What is a Land Use Permit?

It is an electronic permit for temporary or permanent use of KAUST land by KAUST or non-KAUST organizations for a specified purpose.

What is the objective of the LUP System?

To guarantee that all KAUST land is used in a safe, economical, efficient and environmentally responsible manner with no negative impact on existing infrastructure, surroundings and facilities.

Also ensuring compliance with KAUST Master Plan, Policies, regulations and guidelines.

How does the automated LUP system help you?

Streamline the process, Producing a higher quality plan for submissions, review and permits.

higher quality inspections with better scheduling and improved reporting.

Who can submit LUP request?

LUP request shall be submitted in the system by the Department Manager or their designee. However, the concurrence of the applicant Department Head, or higher level is required.

In case of non-KAUST organizations LUP request, a proponent shall assist and sponsor them in completing, submitting and coordinating the request to Facility Management- Master Planning department.

Access can be grunted through the KAUST portal: portal.kaust.edu.sa —> Self Services —> KAUST SAP Request —> Add Roles —> Search Role as LUP —> Select Land Use Permit Request.

Please note that starting February 1st, 2020 all the Land Use Permit requests should be submitted through the portal.
