KEY Initiative

The KEY (KAUST Enrichment for Youth) Initiative has been launched to provide a range of additional tutoring and enrichment opportunities for K-12 students, to support and enhance their school education.

Pilot Tutoring Program

A pilot tutoring program is now underway, 58 KAUST tutors supporting 80+ K-12 students with subjects including math, science, languages, and GAT/SAT preparation. The pilot will run until June 2022 and the wider program will launch in August 2022, aligned with the school year.

The program provides a range of KAUST tutors to work with K-12 students to extend and enrich the learning that takes place in school.  KAUST students, postdocs and staff can apply to be a KAUST tutor. There is a robust selection process and tutors will receive initial and regular training to develop their tutoring skills.

If you are interested in receiving tutoring for your child/children, please contact KEY@kaust.edu.sa  in the first instance.

Music Tuition

As part of the pilot program, we are also offering a limited number of places for music tuition.  Classes will initially be offered during enrichment periods/flex blocks at TKS, after school and on a Saturday morning.

Instruments which will be offered for the pilot are: piano, ukulele, violin, guitar (classical and electric), bass guitar and drums.  Tuition will be offered in pairs and will be for a duration of 30 minutes. Classes will be paid for by parents and students can also rent a musical instrument for a short period of time.

If you would like to register your interest for the music tuition program, please complete this form.
