Keynote: “Towards Third Generation Artificial Intelligence” by Bo Zhang, Tsinghua, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Sciences
In this talk, we will discuss what third generation AI is and how to build it. In order to build an efficient AI system, we need to use two resources—knowledge and data. Generally, knowledge is represented by symbols containing rich semantics. On the other hand, data is represented by vectors in low-dimensional feature space. The challenge is to find an efficient way to transfer symbolic knowledge representation into vector form but there still remain semantic information that needs to be transferred as vector data representation into symbolic form. With those, we can build a mixed model to use both knowledge and data at the same time.

Keynote: “Internet architecture: past, present and future” by Jianping Wu, Tsinghua, CS Department Head, Fellow of Chinese Academy of Engineering
Internet architecture studies the composition and interrelationship of various parts of the Internet, which is the core of Internet technology and the key to its success. In 50 years of development, Internet architecture has evolved through various challenges to its present form, requiring steady development and continuous innovation. Responding to the major technical challenges the Internet is expected to facing in the future, where will the current Internet architecture go?
