All occupants of category 1, 2 and 3 vehicles (excluding scooters and motorcycles) must wear seat belts.
In addition children and infants must be seated in a child restraint seat with a seat belt as appropriate for their size and weight that is positioned and installed as per manufacturer guidelines.
Children and infants riding in an affixed child bicycle seat or bicycle trailer/buggy must be firmly secured in a safety harness. The driver of the vehicle is accountable for ensuring that all passengers are wearing seat belts.
