University Library

The KAUST Library Saudi Seminar’s third edition under the theme “Acquisitions in a Digitally Born Library,” will be held on 17-18 April 2019 at the University Library.

The library has initiated this seminar series in 2017 as part of its regional initiatives to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchanges of academic libraries in the Kingdom.

Around 25 academic librarians will be participating from 15 Kingdom institutions, specifically to learn about KAUST unique experiences in library collection building and acquisitions for a digitally born library. Through the seminar, we aim to provide awareness about latest and unique skill sets required for 21st century academic libraries and also to build a cooperative network of Kingdom based librarians in upskilling and professional development.

Prof. Rick Anderson, associate library dean from the University of Utah and international expert will provide key note address. Ms. Riyam Al- Saada of Princess Noura University, Riyad will also deliver an invited talk, in addition to our own KAUST Library specialists.

Please visit the seminar website for more details.

This event is closed to invited participants only.
