KAUST Health and Government Affairs, in partnership with the Ministry of Defense, and presented by King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital Jeddah invites the KAUST community to take part in our upcoming Blood Donation Campaign.
Donating blood is a simple but powerful way to help save lives. Whether you are a regular donor or donating for the first time, your contribution supports the availability of safe and sustainable blood supplies for patients across the Kingdom.
Blood donation drive details
- Dates: September 27 – October 1, 2026
- Times: 4:30 – 8:30 p.m.
- Location: Parking Lot, KAUST Health, next to the Fire Station
How to book
Please register through the online booking platform and reserve your preferred time slot on a first-come, first-served basis.
Booking is required. Walk-ins are not available.
Before your appointment
To help ensure a smooth donation experience:
- Eat a full meal before attending your appointment.
- Arrive at the designated location on time.
- Bring your Saudi National ID or Iqama for registration.
- You will undergo a brief health screening before donating.
- Following your donation, refreshments and a light snack will be provided.
Who can donate?
KAUST community members 18 years of age and above who meet the required blood donation eligibility criteria may donate.
Who may not be eligible to donate?
You may not be eligible to donate if you:
- Are pregnant or have been pregnant within the last six weeks.
- Have received a blood transfusion or undergone surgery within the past six months.
- Have a recent cold or respiratory tract infection.
- Have taken antibiotics within the last seven days.
- Have recently undergone a tattoo, acupuncture, or certain dental procedures.
- Have a blood or bleeding disorder, malignant disease, or certain heart conditions.
- Final eligibility will be determined by the medical team during the pre-donation screening.
Supporting national health priorities
Through this blood donation drive, KAUST continues to support the Kingdom’s efforts to strengthen voluntary blood donation and ensure a safe and sustainable blood supply for those in need.
In partnership with the Ministry of Defense, this initiative demonstrates the impact that collective community action can have on saving lives and supporting national healthcare priorities.
