The KAUST Information Technology department is delighted to present ways to protect, secure, save and share the data generated by KAUST’s academic and research community. IT has been expanding KAUST’s data storage capacity and introducing new tools to access data from anywhere, and transfer and share data with collaborators.
Topics to be covered:
- Data storage using DataWaha
- Data storage using Corp File for Business
- Protecting lab data and data stored in personal drives
- Data backup
- Archive research data
- Sharing data within your group and with other PI groups
- Data collaboration with external users
- Backup for personal laptop/desktop with Atempo Lina software
Additional items discussed include: best practices for data storage, management, transfer leveraging and using the available technologies. Attendees will also get the chance to meet other colleagues with similar requirements and also meet IT’s Data Storage team to discuss options to address data storage needs.
