Due to essential maintenance work both swimming pools at the Island Recreation Club will be closed from Saturday, May 16 (from 9:00 p.m.) to Saturday, May 23 inclusive.
Please note that access to the beach and toilet facilities will remain open.

Hopefully some arrangement will be made to allow lane swimming in the early evening at Harbour.
The last time this happened at HRC in September, the one week closure became 6 weeks – with little information available as to when the pool was going to open.
Hopefully this time around one week closure will mean one week and users of the pool will be provided with accurate and up to date infomration.

The pool is closed to repair the issue of the lights which has been reported by many of the pool users including the lane swimmers. The schedule will remain as it is at the HSC for the week and the IRC pool will be reopened as soon as the work has been completed.
PLEASE NOTE, the IRC pools will now be closed from the 16th to the 23rd May only. Apologies for any inconvenience for this last minute change.
