As a continuing series of workshops on Large-Scale Data Analysis and Visualization, the Visualization Core Laboratory is pleased to announce a workshop to introduce information visualization and visual analytics. The workshop will cover a broad spectrum of topics ranging from the definition of information visualization and visual analytics to the standard techniques and guidelines used for designing an effective visualization for scientific datasets. Standard techniques for transforming research data into interactive visualizations and analytics will also be discussed through examples.
As a part of its strategic vision, the Visualization Core Lab is expanding its services and expertise to cater to the growing need of visual analytics and information visualization to the KAUST research community. This workshop will be the first of its kind at KAUST and will build awareness of the new services available at the Visualization Core Lab.
