Important update: National address now required for all deliveries

Campus and Community (C&C) would like to share an important update from the General Transport Authority of Saudi Arabia (GTA) that affects all deliveries across the Kingdom.

Under the new national regulations, all residents, citizens, and businesses must use their official National Address for every shipment coming into, within, or across Saudi Arabia.

What’s changing

Starting January 1, 2026, UPS will no longer accept shipments that do not include the recipient’s official National Address in the correct format. This applies to both personal and business deliveries.

To avoid shipment delays, rejected packages, or returned items, we strongly encourage everyone to take action now.

Before placing any order or preparing a shipment, please:

  • Verify the recipient’s full and accurate national address
  • Include the new short address code along with the complete national address on the waybill or shipping label.

For more details, please refer to the following resources:

We encourage all community members to update their shipping details as soon as possible to ensure smooth, reliable, and uninterrupted delivery services across campus and beyond.

Can you be so kind as to create a page with the national address for the various KAUST campus buildings? I know my own national address but do not know how to find the one for my office where I usually get thinks delivered since I’m not often at home.
Thanks in advance

Dear Prof. Dacier, there is no need for multiple National Addresses in KAUST. Please provide your own, and the UPS team will make sure to deliver at the address specified (office or home). Thank you!

Hi,

I am a student and when I try to find my building on the map on the SPL page it says that my building doesn’t exist. So how do students find out their national address?

Thanks

Could you also set up a dedicated person/phone number for people to call in case they need help resolving any issues with the SPL online or app while trying to download their National Address?
I am having issues with updating my phone number despite calling the helpline.
