The Department of Government Affairs is pleased to offer the KAUST Community five options for performing Hajj this year. Please refer to the steps mentioned below and submit your application and make your payment TODAY:
1. Choose your preferred program from the list:
- Al Mahmal – 12,800 SR, Class A, Luxurious service. Stay in tower in Mina, 300 m away from Jamaraat
- Al Gadri – 13,000 SR, Class A, Luxurious service. Stay in tents in Mina
- Al Mukramoon – 8000 SR, Class D, Stay in tents outside Mina*, but very close to the train station
- Al Siddiqui – 9000 SR, Class H, Stay in tents outside Mina
- Rakb Al Noor – 9200 SR, Class C, Stay in tents in Mina
*There has been an official fatwa from the Saudi Scholars Committee confirming if tents are extended continuously outside Mina, Hajjis can stay in off-boundary accommodation with no harm.
2. Get Your Immunization Shots: Before performing Hajj, you must receive an immunization vaccine as required by the Ministry of Health. Vaccines are available at the KAUST Medical Clinic.
3. KAUST Clearance: For pilgrims under KAUST sponsorship, please fill out the Hajj request form and have it signed and stamped from the Government Affairs Services Center (GASC). For assistance, stop by GASC anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturday through Wednesday. The GASC office is located in the Administration Building (building 16), level 2, office 2228.
4. Gather your Hajj permit documents: In order to receive Hajj permission you will need to bring:
- A copy of your passport
- A copy of your Iqama / National ID
- Three passport photos
- Immunization records
- Blood type
- Application form (from step 3)
Please note: there is a five year restriction. If you performed Hajj within the last five years, you will not be able to do it this year.
5. Submit your application and make your payment: For your convenience, representatives from each campaign will be at KAUST to collect all your papers and payments. Please come to the Island Recreation Center on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 starting at 5:30 p.m. to submit your application, documents, and payments (cash only).
Government Affairs is coordinating this effort to ensure your comfort and convenience. The department is not liable for the performance of any of the companies listed above. If you wish to choose a separate company, we will be happy to assist you with steps 2 through 4.
