Green Lab winner

During the celebration of Earth Day on Thursday April 19, ANPERC was awarded the very first KAUST Certified Green Lab Award with the highest score in sustainability. The Green Lab award, given to ANPERC by the KAUST Sustainability Department, is an indication of how green the labs of the centers are.

To win the Green Lab Award the lab must meet certain criteria which are related to energy conservation, freezer and fume-hood efficiency, water conservation, chemicals and materials; and Waste Management. The Green Lab Award also recognizes the efforts of the lab staff to improve the environmental performance of the work places inside the lab and how lab and research facilities can be operated in an efficient and sustainable way.
