Fee increase for Recreation & Marine services

KAUST conducts periodic reviews of the fees associated with the services provided. As a result of the first review since 2016, charges for Recreation and Marine Services will increase with effect from October 1, 2020. The new charges reflect the increased cost of operating the services.

The changes are as follows:

KAUST continues to invest in these services, including recent additions to the marine fleet and significant capital investment starting at South Beach to improve the environment and user experience. All of these services continue to be very heavily subsidized by the University.

Maybe the University should consider to increase the stipend and salary for the students, postdoc, and low-grade employees. Nothing has changed for almost 10 years. Seems everything is increasing their prices despite of salary. Cheers
