Environmental Stewardship Champion

The Health, Safety and Environment Department (HSE) is pleased to announce the winner of 2019/2020 Environmental Stewardship Champion for Operational Excellence in Environmental Protection. This award is in its second year and aims to foster a culture and operational practices that values environmental protection.

Please join us in congratulating this year’s winner: Facilities Management (FM), Horticulture and Pest Control Services.

The Integrated Pest Management practices being implemented by this group is laudable. These practices include an improved community notification on lawn area spraying, environmentally conscious decision making in chemical procurement such as the use of plant-oil based insecticides, and the introduction of mechanical means to control pest rather chemicals. HSE Director Erik Talley presented the award to FM – Central Services Director, Khalid Saadi on August 18th, 2020.
