Enrichment in the Fall Event Tonight

Tonight at Enrichment in the Fall we will host a unique and special musical performance by multiple Grammy-winning musician Paul Winter and his group.

“A Celebration of Whales” by Paul Winter and Consort
Tuesday, October 20
7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Auditorium (bldg. 20)

After work, join us at 6:15 p.m. for a cocktail reception in the Auditorium (bldg. 20) before this evening’s performance entitled “A Celebration of Whales.” Winter and his group will perform a musical movement that weaves the sound of whale song with the traditions of jazz and classical music to create a spellbinding and moving form of “earth music.”

Inspired by the findings of marine biologist Dr. Roger Payne, Winter began exploring ways he could incorporate the beauty and musicality of whale song into the Consort’s music. Over the years, whales have become an integral part of the Consort’s musical sound and repertoire.
