Engineering the Kingdom—Fifth ANSYS Workshop at KAUST

KAUST Supercomputing Core Lab presents: Engineering the Kingdom

Fifth ANSYS Workshop at KAUST

Tuesday, October 1, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
KRTP building, Level 1, Room MULTI 1-1150

Wednesday and Thursday, October 2 and 3, 2019
8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
University Library, Level 3, Room 3134

The KAUST Supercomputing Core Laboratory (KSL) is co-organizing with ANSYS and Fluid Codes, their channel partner for the Middle East, a three-day workshop about ANSYS-based engineering applications using the Shaheen II supercomputer. The event will take place from October 1 to October 3. ANSYS is a leader in developing and marketing engineering simulation software. The software creates computer models of structures, electronics or machine components to simulate strength, toughness, elasticity, temperature distribution, electromagnetism, fluid flow and other attributes.

The first day of the workshop will consist of a presentation highlighting the latest features of ANSYS and success stories on Shaheen. A comprehensive training and certification program will take place on the second day. The third day is allocated for advanced topics, including fluid-structure interaction, electromagnetics and using the Shaheen supercomputer for running ANSYS-based scientific workflow.

Attendees will learn about engineering simulation software creation of computer models that, when combined with a powerful computer like Shaheen II, play a critical role in advancing both ordinary and extraordinary devices.

All interested KAUST researchers, students and staff are encouraged to participate in this special event.

Due to limited seating, please register here.

For further information, please visit our website or contact training@hpc.kaust.edu.sa.

Lunch and light refreshments will be provided.

This opportunity is brought to you by the KAUST Core Labs.
