Eid Staycation 2018 – More details

Friday August 17 – Saturday August 25

The Eid break commences at the end of the working day on Thursday, August 16. For our community members that are having a “staycation at KAUST,” there will be lots to keep you busy:

Besides the Seaside at the Amphitheater, Sunday Aug 19, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Live band, magic show, pony rides, fairground games, kids’ corner, bouncy castle, face painting, food sales, ice cream van, live Arabic coffee, raffle prizes…

Fun & Games at Safaa Golf Club, Monday Aug 20, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Golf games/challenges, footgolf, treasure hunt, Ruby the camel, bouncy castle, ice cream van, live BBQ and other refreshments, raffle prizes…

Picnic at KAM Park, Tuesday Aug 21, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Wet and dry inflatables, kites, clown, face painting, sports day races, shore snorkeling, sunset yoga, live BBQ, live Arabic coffee, food sales, ice cream van, raffle prizes…

Pool Party & Play at Island Recreation Center, Wednesday Aug 22, 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.

Pool inflatables, BBQ, small bouncy castle, obstacle race/family games on the beach, beach volleyball tournament, sunset yoga, dive in movie, floaters in the pool, music, raffle prizes…

Beach Party at South Beach, Thursday Aug 23, 3:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Free sailing taster sessions, beach volleyball tournament, beach football, kites, sand toys/games, decorated sun hat competition, foam inflatable, face painting, pony rides, clown, food stations/live BBQ, ice cream van, raffle prizes…

Munch & Movies at Discovery Cinema, Friday August 17 – Saturday August 25 (exc. Monday 20 Aug) at 12 noon

There will be chances to win business class airline tickets to European destinations in our staycation prize draw, as well as other great prizes, so don’t miss out!

There will also be traditional Eid buffets and delicacies to enjoy at Al-Marsa Restaurant and the Campus Diner and a range of food choices at Harbor Walk – Ronan, Il Villagio, Bonjourain, Healthy Choices, Tim Hortons, Kudu and Dominos. There are also plenty of good food choices at the restaurants at Harbor Sports Club, Safaa Golf Club and the Racquet Club.
