Don't Miss Earth Hour on Saturday, March 29!

Don’t miss the community celebration of Earth Hour on March 29 at Harbor Walk:

EARTH HOUR EVENT SCHEDULE & ACTIVITIES
7:30 – 9:30 p.m. Community Celebration at Harbor Walk (see map below) including partial light switch-off across the campus and community from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m.

  • Unplugged Artists – Jeddah X-Pat Factor Winner Acacia D’Antoni, 2nd Place X-Pat Factor Winner Leesa Tulley, and A Capella Ensemble
  • Children’s Storytelling – Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax presented by Thorby Rudbeck
  • Star Gazing – supported by the Graduate Student Amateur Astronomy Association to observe our beautiful sky and raise awareness of light pollution that disrupts the beauty of the night sky. Telescope kindly provided by the Office of Enrichment Programs.
  • Children’s Glow-in-the-Dark Arts & Crafts
  • “Moth Survey” presented by Mike Bailes, Entomologist. Using a specially designed humane light trap, learn more about the night time insect biodiversity that exists here at KAUST.
  • Green Gadgets at the KAUST Ideal House presented by the Facilities & Community CARE Team
  • Refreshments and much, much more!

At KAUST, let’s make every hour Earth Hour by using energy wisely and being a “Steward for our Planet.”
