Community Water Safety Month

There is nothing more enjoyable on a warm summer day than jumping into one of the swimming pools at the recreation facilities or spending a few hours at the beach basking in the balmy water of the Red Sea. Whichever you prefer, water safety is everyone’s concern.

Join us as we celebrate Water Safety Month from May 12 until June 12.

To highlight the importance of water safety, the next few weeks will include a number of special events, educational programs, promotions, and distribution of water safety themed materials aimed at emphasizing water safety practices. Upcoming events include: Waterpark Fun Day on May 17, BBQ Family Fun Nights with Giant Pool Slide on May 24 and June 7, Dive-In Movies, and school talks.

But while you and your family are having fun, please remember that water safety is a serious issue. Please remember to “Do Your Part, Be Water Smart.” So wherever you and your family swim, be water aware. Follow all the rules and make sure that there is proper supervision and always swim in a supervised area.

Great swim meet on Thursday. Very well organised and good to see so many people there. Fantastic atmosphere all morning. Hopefully we can have more of the same going forward. Once a year is too long to wait!

Looking forward to the team triathlon now on Thursday.
