To ensure the highest standards of community swimming pool safety, Community Services has now adopted the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMPSA) best practices and guidance recommendations alongside the current KAUST pool rules.
Please ensure that you familiarize yourself with the KAUST swimming pool rules prior to use. If you require clarification on any of the rules listed, please email your question to recreation@kaust.edu.sa

This rules are fine as long as they will be enforced. They did not appear to be this week at HRC as most evenings the pool was very busy with very young children being unsupervised in the water. “Accompanied” was being interpreted as standing close to the pool edge, fully clothed, and then wandering off. Sensible rules should be enforced and the lifeguards should not be left by themselves to deal with the myriad of excuses as to why rules don’t apply to certain people. Otherwise the pool will end up like the cinema where there are lots of good ideas but not much actually getting done to stop the irritating problems like late arrivals, mobiles and constant talking.
One other suggestion. Perhaps some pool rules on clearing ones throat while in the pool and then spitting the content into the drainage tiles around the side – and usually missing. Apart from the accompanying noise, if you want to spit and clear your throat, try using the changing rooms as it would be much appreciated by those of us in the water. Likewise if you want to change, the pool has rooms for this and poolside is not appropriate, whatever age you are, adult or children.
