Community Reuse Center: Giving Your Old Things New Life

Over 7,000 items of clothing, toys, kitchenware, books, etc., were donated in 2013 to the Community Reuse Center. All the items were sorted and then distributed to various charitable organizations in Thuwal and Jeddah.

If you would like to contribute, please drop off your unwanted items into the assigned bins outside the Reuse Center on Exploration avenue just off of Discovery Square, near SAMBA Bank.

To arrange a direct collection from your home contact the Reuse Center by email recycle@kaust.edu.sa or call (012) 808-6543.

I have some large items (patio furniture, an old swingset) that are probably too damaged to be reused, but I would like to dispose of them. Is there somewhere to dispose of them in KAUST? Is there a way to request transportation of them?

Is it possible to drop an old bike there?

Recycle @ KAUST December 22, 2013 - 10:47 am

Dear Ehab,

If the bike in working condition then yes. The Reuse Center collects any item good enough to be used again.
